About City

Tokyo is Japan’s capital and the world’s most populous metropolis. It is one of the 47 prefectures of japan, consisting of 23 central city wards and multiple cities, towns and villages west of city Centre. The Great Tokyo Area is the most metro populous area in the world. The Izu islands and Ogasawara islands are also part of the city. Tokyo was originally known as Edo means estuary. In 1603 Edo was the head quarter of the city. Later in 1868, its name has been changed to Tokyo and became capital to Japan.
 
Tokyo is south eastern part of Asia. Tokyo consists of special wards, they consists same legal status in cities, towns and villages of Tokyo, japan. Western Tokyo also called as Tama area; it consists of 30 ordinary municipalities, unlike eastern which consist of 23 special wards. The Izu islands are group of volcanic islands and it consists of Mt Fuji, Mt Fuji is known as sacred mountain in Japan. The Ogasawara islands also called Bonin Islands are a group of islands over 30 sub-tropical and tropical islands, some 1000 kilometers directly south of Tokyo, Japan.
 
Central Tokyo has been the seat of political and economic power. It is the center of big business surprises with pockets of retro charm, sprawling gardens and the world’s busiest fish market. Not to miss the sight-seeing places like the early morning tuna action at Tsukiji, Exploring traditional crafts in Nihonbashi and Strolling Ginza’s Chuo Dori Street on a Sunday afternoon. Most important places to visit in Central Tokyo are Ginza, Akihabara, Imperial palace, Koishikawa koraken and many more places.
 
The National Garden today is one the most popular attractions in Tokyo, both for tourists and locals alike. It consists of three different types of parks, which are a Japanese landscape garden, French, and an English garden. Shinjuku Gyoen  is also the home to a very large concentration of cherry blossoms, which give this park a very unique look. There are also plenty of unique Japanese-style ponds, which are dotted with bridges and islands, each of which are uniquely decorated with shrubs, pavilions, and trees.
 
Located at the site of the former innermost point of defense at Edo Castle, the Imperial Palace is one of the most popular and well-known Tokyo attractions. The Imperial Palace was the residence of Japan’s Royal Family, and it also used to be the home of the Tokugawa shogun who ruled Japan in the Edo period
